Bonny Slope’s Inaugural Year Yearbook – Order Now!

The Communications Team is creating a fantastic 2009 Bonny Slope Yearbook! Inside this 88 page soft bound book you will find classroom photos, student pictures, special programs, music, Spanish, PE and images of many of the events we’ve had throughout our first year.

To order your book for delivery the last week of school, please download and fill out this FORM and return it to your teacher or the front office with your payment before April 24th. Please make checks out to BSCO. We require a minimum order. If we don’t get enough orders, we will refund your money. $8 each.  Attention Graduating 5th Graders! You will receive a FREE Yearbook as a big thank you for attending your final year in elementary school at Bonny Slope!

PHOTOS WANTED!!!

The Communications Committee is anxious to have photo submissions for an end of the year project. If you have any photos of Bonny Slope kids and/or activities, please email photos to Karen Murphy karen_murphy@verizon.net . You can email them, send her a link, or give her a CD, but we do need hi-resolution images.

In particular, we’re looking for photos of the following:
•BSCO Activities like Art Literacy, Science
Fair, Movie Night, Jog-a-thon, etc.
•After-school Enrichment Activities
like Chess Club, Lego Robotics, Piano and Gui
tar Chordination, Mad Science, etc.

Bonny Slope Spirit Wear

Many families have ordered their T-shirts and Hoody’s and are eager to show their school spirit. Just wearing our school colors is wonderful and we thank you for jumping in and becoming a Bonny Slope Bobcat so quickly!

All “pre-orders” have been filled at this time. We hope you are happy with your order. We have a very limited stock on hand for those of you that may not have ordered recently. We currently have T-shirts in Medium and XL for $12 each and Zip-up Hoody’s in XS, S, and M for $30 each. These are adult sizes and are great for parents and 4th/5th graders (in XS size). We don’t, however, have any Hoody’s available at this time. Please email Cynthia Thompson at bwcathompson@comcast.net for any requests of exisiting inventory.

This has been a learning experience and we’ve had to make lots of changes along the way. Thank you for allowing us such a strong learning curve! Welcome to the Bonny Slope Community Organization website!

With all the flurry of activities that come with starting a new school; parents, students and faculty all need a way to communicate with each other. The Bonny Slope Community Org website is a place that we hope you will continue to visit on a regular basis for updates on what’s going on with the school and with the community. As the dust settles over the next several weeks, we will be ironing out details of what goes on this website.

Please take the opportunity to explore details for each of the volunteer committees that will support Bonny Slope Elementary. For an overview of each of the committees and what they’re all about, click on the main committee button as illustrated in the image below. Some of the committees have sub-pages with more detailed information about all of the programs that they are offering.

We will also be maintaining a calendar for all BSCO wide events. Please note that this calendar does NOT replace Bonny Slope Elementary’s regular school calendar for all school specific and Beaverton School District holidays and designated days off.

Just as if you were reading a newspaper or a magazine, our new website will have Lead Articles and Featured Articles showcasing and highlighting any upcoming or recent events that have taken place within our community. If you missed the articles on the home page, you can peruse and browse and ‘articles’ written from each of our committees by navigating to the right hand side of the website and click on any of the committees that have articles written and check out anything and everything that has been written about them.

Last but not least, show your Team Spirit for Bonny Slope by visiting our Spirit Store where you can find a variety of items to show your team spirit!
