Here is a photo and some information on this week’s Bike to School Day for the BSCO newsletter: Since the October Walk to School Day has been such a success, we have decided to add a spring Bike to School Day as well. The ride will be on Wednesday, June 2. There will be two organized routes, North and West; see the map and route times below. We will be riding to school in the morning, and back along the same routes (reversed) after school. It will be a lot of fun. A flier with more details including important information on bike safety and helmets, was included with the May 28th Paw Prints. Please read the Paw Prints flier, as the information below is preliminary and might change. We will be riding at a slow, easy pace, and we are staying mostly on low traffic streets. However, Bonny Slope is a hilly area, so be prepared to use those low gears! It might not be suitable for very young or inexperienced riders; parents use your best judgment. Parental participation is strongly encouraged. We also are looking for at least one more official ride volunteer. So pump up those tires, oil that chain, find that helmet (make sure it fits correctly), and get ready to ride, rain or shine!
